Staining or sealing your deck is the most important thing you can do to preserve its beauty, protect it from the elements, and prolong its life. Having a professional stain or seal your deck is very important. Just like with it’s cleaning, there are very specific steps that need to be taken to get the most out of it.
Step 1. Clean the deck using our 7-step process.
Step 2. Prepare wood for staining. We utilize a specialized conditioner that allows the wood to accept the stain, thereby extending the longevity of the stain.
Step 3. Prepare the surface to be stained. Cover pants, tape off electrical outlets, and protect the house and any other items that may come into contact with the stain by covering or taping them.
Step 4. Stain the deck. We prefer using Cabot stain, but we can use other products if you have a preference.
Step 5. Clean up and return everything to its original location.
